For specific applications, additional options and accessories are available for the DMS500.

Heated sampling system

For applications where it is desired to sample low concentration humid aerosols, such as engine exhaust downstream of a particulate filter, the sample line and some internal components of the DMS500 can be equipped with heaters. These are controlled via the standard interface.

Heated sample system

The heated sample line runs at reduced pressure, both to further reduce condensation and improve time response. When used with the heated sample line, the standard compressed air primary diluter and dilution air is heated up to 150°C.

Pressure-relief sampling system

Due to its sub-ambient operation and sample flow measurement, the DMS500 is already very tolerant of sample pressure variations. However in applications where the sample pressure may fluctuate rapidly and may go substantially above ambient (above 1.1bar abs), the pressure relief sampling system may be used to reduce sensitivity to these fluctuations. The system allows a vent from the sample system if the pressure increases substantially above ambient.

32 size classes/decade option

The DMS produces data at 16 size classes/decade as standard. Optional software is available to produce 32 size classes/decade if required.
